First - Get the look & feel for the site

For me the first approach is getting the look & feel for the ETSY site. I take a stroll through some of the shops that tweak my interest. I search for items using different key words to see what hits I get. I take note of the items with clear, clean and eye catching photography & check out items with bad photography too, as to know how NOT to capture images of your items you've worked so hard to create.
